Gap's Get Loose Campaign Goes Viral

Gap’s Fall 24 campaign, Get Loose, has gone viral with kudos from TikTok, surpassing 55M views and igniting a wave of user-generated content—with over 100K videos under #GetLoose to date. The campaign resonated deeply with social audiences, with thousands joining the conversation and delivering their own rendition of the choreographed routine.
Created and produced by Invisible Dynamics, including the social content strategy, which set the campaign up for viral success. Starring Troye Sivan, Get Loose became a sensation shortly after its August debut. Set to Thundercat’s Funny Thing, Get Loose stars Sivan and was choreographed by Sergio Reis, featuring dancers from Reis’s CDK Company: bringing to life an electric dance routine that nods to iconic, archival Gap campaigns.
TikTok users stated that the campaign had “consumed” them: “Literally brought tears to my eyes… I love it when brands are creative and have fun.” Others filmed themselves shopping in store “after watching that Gap commercial too many times,” or simply dubbed it “the best commercial I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Building on the campaign’s viral momentum, Sivan’s recent Instagram post after his San Francisco stop of the Sweat tour with Charli XCX—featuring Gap pieces—garnered 376K likes in 24 hours, further spotlighting the brand’s cultural relevance and ongoing relationship with the singer.
