Purpose
As a Copy Editor at Invisible Dynamics, you will use your strategic insight, brand knowledge creative writing skills, and keen sense of storytelling to bring ideas to life across a wide range of client projects. In this role, you'll craft compelling, clear, and impactful copy that resonates with target audiences and aligns with each brand’s unique voice and varied objectives. You will be able to flex your copywriting skills across a diverse portfolio of verticals, brands, audiences, concepts, channels, and across the full marketing funnel. You’ll play a key part in creating content that supports our clients' business goals, building brand awareness, fostering meaningful engagement, and driving conversion with target audiences. You will also be able to write compelling, thought-leadership copy that resonates with a more B2B-minded industry audience to help build the profile of the agency itself. With experience across various industries—particularly in fashion, wellness, and lifestyle brands—you’re adept at creating considered content, rooted in strategic insight with an understanding of the core deliverables. You thrive in collaborative environments, work well to deadlines, and are passionate about storytelling that drives results. You enjoy being challenged and are willing to always strive to achieve the final 5% to ensure the output is the best it can possibly be. Your experience and understanding of brand transformation and having worked within a Strategy team, combined with your own personal creativity, makes you a valuable asset to Invisible Dynamics.
Responsibilities
Creative Copywriting
Tailor messaging to meet the specific objectives of each project, ensuring it aligns with the client’s tone of voice, style, and goals.
Define, or redefine, a brand’s Tone of Voice yourself and develop guidelines within Brand Identity projects, working closely with the Creative team to ensure a shared vision and cohesion across Visual and Verbal Identity.
Collaborate closely with the Strategy and Creatve teams to brainstorm and develop original content ideas that align with the brand’s positioning.
Edit and refine copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with client feedback, meeting all brand guidelines and quality standards.
Adapt tone and style for different platforms and audience segments, creating impactful messaging that resonates with diverse demographics.
Conduct thorough research into client industries, competitors, and target audiences to inform your writing and add strategic value.
Work with the Strategy Director and Creative Director to ensure consistency in messaging across all client communications, supporting cohesive brand narratives.
Support building awareness and thought leadership for Invisible Dynamics, developing long form strategic articles, content franchises, social copy, awards entries and case studies as part of the agency’s Comms Plan.
Collaboration & Communication
Respond to briefs in a timely and a considered manner, ensuring the work always delivers on stakeholder expectations.
Be flexible to work outside of a briefing system, understanding that sometimes the most successful output is a content idea, copy proposal or flex on existing copy that somebody else may not have yet identified.
Partner with designers, art directors, and project managers to bring creative concepts to life and ensure copy aligns with visual elements.
Present copy concepts and ideas to clients, offering a rationale for creative choices and being receptive to feedback.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and creativity in all deliverables.
Support the broader team by contributing to brainstorming sessions and content strategy discussions, bringing fresh ideas and innovative storytelling techniques.
Culture Insights
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, cultural shifts, and content best practices to continually refine your approach and bring new ideas to client work.
Bring a fresh, culturally relevant perspective to each project, helping to elevate the agency’s creative output and align with evolving consumer expectations.
Contribute to thought leadership materials, blog posts, or social content that reflects Invisible Dynamics’ position as a forward-thinking, creative agency.
Logistical Requirements
The Copy Editor will be based out of our Los Angeles office, leading the creative team with a commitment to in-person collaboration. Monday – Thursday required in office, option Work-from-home Fridays.
Travel within the US and internationally may be required based on client and company needs. As a full-time employee, the role may involve working extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client deadlines.
